A dual approach to improving the early literacy skills of children birth to 5 in Barrow County
More than 1 in 3 children arrive in Kindergarten without the skills necessary for lifetime learning.
The Barrow Literacy Partnership is a collaborative partnership that aims to increase early literacy development and school readiness of children 5 and under in Barrow County.
GIVE THEM A FISH
Every child in our target groups receives at least 4 new age-appropriate books each year to build their own home library
TEACH THEM TO FISH
We also make sure each family gets a library card so they can access quality children's books and friendly library staff year-round
