We need Birdy Buddies!
The Birdie Buddy is the mascot of the Barrow Literacy Partnership. Cuddling with a reading buddy like Birdie Buddy while being in the arms of a loving caregiver makes a child feel loved and evokes feelings of well-being. The combination of an age-appropriate book, a Birdie Buddy, and a loved one’s lap begin the journey to lifelong reading.
If you would like to help us create these one-of-a-kind buddies, download the pattern below. You can drop off completed birdies at any of our 3 Barrow public libraries, in Auburn, Statham, or Winder.
